A small child’s bathroom needed a bright and light makeover. The outdated tile and vanity made the already small space feel even more cramped. To give the space texture without overwhelm, a long white tile in a vertical brick with a medium grey grout was used in the shower. Taking the tile to the ceiling in the shower and on the back wall elongated the room, while the partial height tile wrap on the sink wall left depth and openness. This client wanted some dramatic effect, so we chose a black white richly veined matte tile for the floor. A console sink with matte black finishes is a nod to the traditional style of the house and opening the narrow space. The small storage area remained.
