What was once a dark, heavy library became a bright and clean home office. To keep the interesting depth of the room, the wood wainscoting and coffered ceiling were sanded and repainted. To offer more storage and desk space, custom cabinetry was placed on the back wall and needed to flow seamlessly into the existing cabinetry. While the Shaker style of the cabinetry doors were kept, the actual doors were replaced with a narrower stile finish. The dark grey-blue of the cabinetry accents nicely with the brushed brass and light grey walls, giving the room a moody but refreshed feeling.
