A MCM ranch kitchen sometimes isn’t complete without a screen wall or breakfast nook. This particular house had the perfect space for one, so it was just about finding the right look and execution. We chose a wide 6” x 1” screen plank thickness for 2 reasons; 1, because it created more of a true visual screen from the other room from an angle, and 2, to align with the bench and mirror the width of the existing walls. I also left room between each wood plank for object placement and ease of cleaning. White oak carried over from the kitchen and creates a warm, inviting effect. The bright walls, ceiling, and floor compliment the honey wood tones so nicely.
