Primary Bathroom
2022
This full bath, off the primary bedroom, needed a work over. The challenge was making this funky space that separates the vanity/sink area from the toilet and shower, functional and serene. Removing the clunky doorway leading into the shower area and taking it up to the ceiling opened up the room. Choosing a pre-owned vintage credenza and converting it into a vanity gives the room warmth and depth, and blends well with the rest of the rooms in the house. The warm white tile with hand-made like texture and varying tones was perfect for creating contrast in a predominantly white room. Stacking the tile horizontally to the ceiling and using a glass pivot door elevates the room even more. Brushed brass fixtures add warmth, along with the wood and rattan materials. A subtle but colorful terrazzo tile for the floor also gives contrast and lift.
